FROM END TO END is a visual thesis that explores that process of reinvention.

Photographed against the rugged beaches on the East Coast of Barbados, the photo essay is a documentation of the rites of inner change. Each dimension of transformation is questioned through portraits of surrender that reflect grit and grace as the essence of maturation.

The images are bound together by excerpts from Assata Shakur’s “Affirmation” poem. Published in 1987, the poem served as the declarative opening to the autobiography of the beloved revolutionary. A poem about anger, loss, fear and faith, Shakur’s words carry the spirit of unshakeable self agency found FROM END TO END
